General
EasyNotes is available for all Android and iOS devices. However, a web version is not yet available. Stay tuned for updates!
EasyNotes only stores your account data in the local database of your phone, and all your data is for personal use only. If you no longer use the app, simply uninstall it, and all your data will be deleted.
Note
Laggy issues are attributed to Samsung's latest system update (Android 13), which introduced a text correction feature called Grammarly to the Samsung keyboard. You may meet some unusual text input experience when editing notes, not just our EasyNotes, such as:
- The cursor "jumping" up and down
- Text disappearing on its own
- The keyboard slowing down when writing longer notes
Before Samsung completely fix this problem, you can try the following solution:
- Turning Grammarly OFF in keyboard setting
- Open keyboard settings with the small gear icon above keyboard
- Select "Suggest text corrections"
- Disable writing assistant
Hope above solutions are helpful to your note-taking experience. Any feedback, please contact easynotes@guloolootech.com.

- Adjust highlights after typing text:
- Long press on the text you want to highlight.
- Tap the "A" button with the highlight to choose a color.

Adding and removing font colors is similar to the process of highlighting.
Please follow the steps below:
- Tap the "Palette" button on the toolbar at the bottom of the note editing page.
- Select your preferred note background, then click the "Check" button to confirm.
Tips:
You can also change your default note background in the "Edit Preferences" section under "Settings" in the homepage sidebar.
This is because of a recent update to Samsung Keyboard that preloads and enables Grammarly. Fortunately, many of these issues can be resolved by disabling Grammarly. You can disable Grammarly by following these steps:
- Open your Samsung device Settings
- Go to General management -> Samsung Keyboard settings
- Go to Select third-party content to use and toggle Grammarly off
- Restart your device and try again.

To prevent note loss and to quickly view and edit notes across multiple devices, we recommend using our sync feature. Follow these steps to enable synchronization:
- Click on "Sync and Backup" in the sidebar.
- Log in to your Google account and grant the necessary permissions.
- Once logged in, you can configure your sync preferences under the "Auto Sync" option on the Sync and Backup page. Options include: "Auto sync on any network", "Auto sync on Wi-Fi only" and "Disable auto sync".

Tips:
Even if you delete notes in the app or uninstall the app, you can restore them by clicking on "Restore from Local Backup" in "Sync & Backup" and selecting the previously backed-up zip file.
Please follow these steps to troubleshoot:
- Ensure that the Google account logged in to "Sync & Backup" in the homepage sidebar is the same one used for syncing notes in EasyNotes previously.

The account used to identify your membership and the account used for syncing data are logged in at different locations. Understanding the difference between them will help you use our app more effectively.
- VIP Account:
The VIP account refers to the Google account used for payment when you purchase the EasyNotes VIP membership through the Google Play Store. This is the account that needs to be logged into the Google Play Store on your device in order for the app to correctly identify your membership status.
- Sync Account:
The Sync account refers to the Google account you log into in the "Sync and Backup" section of the sidebar on the homepage. This account is used to sync your notes data to Google Cloud, allowing you to access and manage your notes across different devices.
Tips:
The Sync account can be the same as the VIP account or different, depending on whether you want to sync your data to another Google account.
If you want to change the Google account used for the "Sync and Backup" feature in EasyNotes, you can follow the steps below:
- Log out of the old account in the "Sync and Backup" section while keeping all your notes on the app's main screen.
- Log into the new account in the "Sync and Backup" section and immediately sync your data.
Tips:
After changing the account, your notes will sync to the new account, please ensure that you use the same Google account for syncing on other devices as well.
- The reason you can't see your notes in Google Drive is that, to ensure the security of your data, EasyNotes stores your notes in a private area of Google Drive, rather than in a regular folder. This means your notes won't appear directly in your Google Drive.
- You can access your notes by logging into your Google account in the "Sync and Backup" section of the EasyNotes app. As long as you log in with the same account on each device, your notes will automatically sync and be available for viewing and editing.
